Installation instructions

This page outlines step-by-step installation for Rocky Linux 9 and Microsoft Windows, post-installation tasks, and update guidance for NeuroCenter EEG.

1. General Requirements

Before installation, ensure that:

• The system meets the minimum hardware and software requirements as specified in the Platform Notes

• The user has sufficient permissions to install software on the system

• The installation is performed in a controlled IT environment

The responsible organization is responsible for ensuring that the installation environment complies with applicable IT security policies.

2. Installation on Rocky Linux 9

2.1 Prerequisites

• Operating System: Rocky Linux 9

• Internet access to download the NeuroCenter repository

• Administrative (root or sudo) privileges

2.2 Installation Procedure

1. Open a terminal on the target system.

2. Add the NeuroCenter software repository:

   Download and configure the NeuroCenter repository from:
   https://neurocenter.info

   (Follow the instructions provided on the website to add the repository to the system package manager.)

3. Update the package index:

   sudo dnf update
   

4. Install the NeuroCenter EEG packages:

   sudo dnf install neurocenter-eeg
   

   (Select the appropriate NeuroCenter EEG packages if multiple components are listed.)

5. Confirm installation:

   Verify that the software is installed correctly by checking that the application can be started from the system.

2.3 Post-installation

• Verify correct operation of the software

• Configure system settings as required (see Instructions for Use)

• Ensure access rights and security settings are configured appropriately

• Installation requires an active internet connection

• The system must remain connected to the configured repository for updates

• Only approved and validated package versions shall be installed

3. Installation on Microsoft Windows

3.1 Prerequisites

• Supported Microsoft Windows version (see Instructions for Use)

• Administrative privileges

• Internet access to download the installation package

3.2 Installation Procedure

1. Open a web browser.

2. Navigate to the NeuroCenter download page:
   https://neurocenter.info

3. Download the NeuroCenter EEG installation package (MSI file).

4. Locate the downloaded MSI file.

5. Double-click the MSI file to start the installation wizard.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions:

   • Accept the license agreement

   • Select installation location (if applicable)

   • Confirm installation

7. Complete the installation process.

3.3 Post-installation

• Launch NeuroCenter EEG to verify successful installation

• Configure application settings as required

• Ensure appropriate user access and security configuration

3.4 Notes

• Only installation packages obtained from the official NeuroCenter website shall be used

• Do not install modified or third-party versions of the software

• Ensure antivirus or security software does not block installation

4. Updates

Software updates are distributed via:

• The configured package repository (Rocky Linux)

• Updated installation packages (Windows)

Users and/or the responsible organization shall ensure that only validated and approved updates are installed.
